How thick are custom magnets?

Custom magnets are 1mm thick, about twice as thick as the 0.5mm stock most budget magnets use. They feel solid and lie flat instead of flimsy. They are still flexible enough to wrap a curved car door, and they hold up to outdoor use and frequent handling.

Why thickness matters

Flexible enough for curved surfaces

Sturdy does not mean stiff. At 1mm the magnet still bends, so it wraps a curved panel like a car door without lifting at the corners or cracking. The same stock takes repeated handling and weather, which matters for outdoor and weatherproof use.
